Help Us to Save Your Pets

PLEASE DONATE NOW!

EVERY BIT HELPS!

Almost every fire engine carries the equipment necessary to treat a human victim of smoke inhalation.  Nationwide only a handful of fire engines are equipped with the equipment necessary to treat animals for smoke inhalation.

The Sierra Firefighters Association Local 3895 is seeking donations to help purchase eight (8) animal care kits that would include re-usable oxygen masks, a multi-purpose leash, and a first-aid guide.  With some assistance from local veterinary clinics our firefighters will learn to use the kits in order to provide pre-hospital care to your pets after a fire.

Our goal is to raise $800 to equip fire engines located across West Washoe County with animal resuscitation kits.  In these tough economic times we do not have enough to purchase these kits and need your help.

For donations by check please make them payable to the Sierra Firefighters Association.

The communities that we directly serve include:

Anderson Acres         Arrowcreek                           Galena Forest

Mogul                       Mount Rose Corridor                    St. James Village

Verdi                         West Cold Springs Valley         West Washoe Valley

With Mutual and Automatic Aid to Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding counties.
